Like all organizations the CDCA needs funds to operate. The CDCA operates mostly on individual and small group tax-deductible donations: a lot of people giving a little. The organization receives no government funding. People are continually amazed at what is accomplished with small gifts of $25-$100. It is easy to give online, and you can sign up to make an automatic monthly donation online. The CDCA also needs volunteers… individuals and groups. Individual volunteers are able to see and experience firsthand the lives of Nicaraguans and how the CDCA operates. There is a per diem charge for volunteers who help on-site and need housing and food.
The CDCA hosts delegations who come to work, learn from speakers, see a bit of Nicaragua, and share their lives with the Nicaraguan people as well.
Delegation members bond not only with Nicaraguans but also with each other as the result of this shared experience.
If you are unable to come to Nicaragua, contact Becca or Sarah because you can help where you are by collecting or looking for items that are of use in various projects.
Please also help introduce this work to others through
- hosting speaking opportunities, including Live Virtual events,
- sharing the CDCA’s facebook posts, tweets, blogs, and instagrams on your social media.
- Encouraging others to give… by check, on online in the currency of their choice
- Buying coffee from FarmerShares.
If you can help with any of this, please contact the organization.
